About Me
As an Artist
There is nothing that moves me more than a sad song, an artistic film, or standing in front of a painting in a museum and feeling something I can't quite explain. I have always longed for that kind of emotional connection with people and I have always believed that art, in all its forms and mediums, is the most magical way to carry that feeling from one person to another.
I immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong at a young age. With that move came a quiet kind of loss...Childhood friendships, my home culture, and closeness with my families. A deep desire to reach people, I've always wanted to share my stories, my emotions, and the little worlds I create through my art.
When I discovered the concept of a snail mail club, something clicked. The idea of my artwork and my words traveling across states, maybe even across oceans, landing in someone's mailbox and making them feel something real, felt like exactly what I had been searching for. Accessible, unique and personal, and romantic in a way.
About 11:11 Make A Wish Club
When life gets busy and you start running on autopilot without thinking or feeling much — 11:11 is a tiny pause in your day to feel hopeful, make a wish, and appreciate what's around you.
11:11 Make A Wish Club is a bi-monthly art mail club delivered to your mailbox, filled with thoughtful, original handmade art.
Each cycle is centered around a word/a theme that inspires the main art piece, whether an illustration or an oil painting. Through my art, I hope to reach people who are trying to stay hopeful through difficult times, who are learning to appreciate the small things in life, and who need a reminder that they are not alone in what they are feeling. Expressing my fantasy imagination into the aesthetic of this club, every mail you receive will be filled with whimsical artwork.
I hope my art evokes wonderful memories, of the people you love, of how beautiful this world is, and of how far you’ve come along by yourself.
